36 | How to Deliver the Best Experience for Your 1:1 Clients

Nov 16, 2022

In this episode of the Digital Business Evolution Podcast, Jess is chatting all about the necessary steps to consider when setting up 1 on 1 clients. When considering 1 on 1 clients we all know it's about the needs and wants of the client, however, you actually want to start with yourself first. Ask yourself what are your boundaries? What is your capacity? Ask yourself what lights you up and what will also light them up? What is the value of the transformation they are looking for and what is required for you to get them the transformation?

Once your boundaries are in order with your 1 on 1 clients, you want to set expectations, because expectations lead to experience. It's only when we don't live up to people's expectations that the experience can go south. Jess goes into detail on how to set expectations for these 1 on 1 clients, pricing, contracts, timing, give backs and even welcome gifts! There are so many options when it comes to setting up 1 on 1 clients, but ultimately it comes down to what works best for you.

Key Takeaways:.
• 1 on 1 clients have a different access to you and your time; thus, a price premium works because people pay for people and there is a payment amount that comes with proximity.
• Pre-set the expectations with your client ahead of time: including how much time it will take you to be able to help them and for them to see the transformation they are looking for. Creating the expectation will create the client's experience and anything that's over delivered will be a sweet juicy bonus.
• Create your business around your life, not your life around your business. Get clear on boundaries and expectations by communicating with your client what works best for you both.

Episode Quotes
• “I want to know what they want, what they need, what their desired transformation is but also, if i'm not in alignment, if i'm not ready, if im not set up, then the conversation shouldn't even be happening .” –Jessica DeRose
• “You don't need to complicate it, you don't need to launch it, it doesn't need to be a big to do, just let people know you have slots available and there is no pressure. Whatever you are doing in your business is perfect.” –Jessica DeRose
